- How to install VirtuaGuy?
Click on the green button located on the Download page to start downloading and installing VirtuaGuy on your desktop.
When the download dialog box appears, click "Run"
A security dialog box will appear showing that setup-vghd.exe is made by Totem. Click "Run"
VirtuaGuy's online installation will start.
You might get a warning from your firewall asking if it should let VirtuaGuy access to the internet. Please authorize the access to continue the installation.
Remain connected to the Internet and follow the onscreen instructions, you’re a few minutes away from getting Guys on your desktop!
The whole process is described step by step on the Download page.
- Why register?
In order to become a member of our community and start receiving new Guys you have to register yourself. Please choose a login and a password and enter them in the corresponding fields. Your account will be created among the VirtuaGuy user's community and it will register your software, enabling it to start downloading Guys from our servers.
Registration is free and easy and we respect your privacy (please review our privacy policy for more information).
- How to register?
You'll be prompted to register during the installation process. If you missed that part or had any problem during the installation, right click on the white "V" on a red (or black) background in your systray and select "Register". If you can't see a white "V" on a red (or black) background in your systray, it means VirtuaGuy is not running on your computer and you need to download it again.
Please choose a login and a password and enter them in the fields. Your account will be created among the VirtuaGuy user's community and it will register your software, enabling it to start downloading Guys from our servers.
- How to uninstall VirtuaGuy
VirtuaGuy is provided with a full automatic un-install procedure.
execute Start/Program/VirtuaGuy HD/uninstall and VirtuaGuy will be automatically removed from your PC.
- Where is VirtuaGuy on my PC?
VirtuaGuy is visible in your systray taskbar as a white 'V' on a red background (or a black one if not active).
Left click on this "V" icon to make the Guy show up when she's not there, do it again when she's there to hide her quickly. Right click on the icon to display the menu or Quit it.
You can relaunch it from Start/Programs/VirtuaGuy/VirtuaGuy
- The V icon flashes with a !
If the V icon flashes with a "!" : it warns you of a problem with downloads.
Please open the software options (right clik the V icon and select options), go to the "downloads" tab and check your status.
- if 'not connected' : the software cannot communicate with the servers perhaps inet provider, firewall or so, please check on your end.
- if 'virtuaGuy_downloader not found' then go back to the V icon, right click and quit virtuaGuyHD. Then relaunch it from your start menu / programs / virtuaGuyHD / virtuaGuyHD. It should be fine now.
- I lost all my models, what to do?
This is a very very rare bug that we are still trying to resolve. Don't panic, all your models are still on your hard drive.
1) Quit VirtuaGuy
2) Delete the models.lst from "C:/Documents and Settings/usersname/Application Data/vghd/Data/models.lst" (If you use Vista, go to C:/Documents and Settings/PC_USERNAME/Application Data/Roaming/VGHD)
3) hit the check for updates button in the download tab of the option box of the software.
- The systray menu
Right click on the V icon in the systray (a right 'V' on a red or black background) menu to display the menu.
Quit: Quits VirtuaGuy.
Browse All Guys: Brings you on the website where you can check all our Guys.
My Profile: brings you to your profile on the site.
Community brings you to the site's forum
Options: Display the options box.
Help: brings you here.
Active: Allows / prevents Guys to show up on your screen.
- The Options box
2 tabs:
My Collection shows the trailers and full shows you have, allows you to manage your collection, select some favorite, activate them or not, delete some, buy them etc. It also show the Guy to visit you tomorrow.
All models shows all the models available on the site.
4 pop ups
Desktop allows you to set your preferences (size, transparency, appearance frequency, level of nudity, show mode etc.. don't forget to unroll the advanced settings.
Screensaver to set your screensaver preferences: background, zoom, music, etc.)
Advanced settings allows to set your security level and manage the downloads (automatical or not) and to check for updates, check your connection status, etc.
About Contains our licence agreement and the username you registered with.
- The Options box / My Collection

There you can manage your collection.
The left colum is where to act on the card :
- Activate/Deactivate the card (blue square icon with green v)
- Play the card (blue round button)
- Reactivate all the animations for a card (back arrow)
- Delete the card from disk (black bin on yellow button): the card stays in grey in your collection and you can redownload it anytime.
You can also :
- purchase the full show (for trailers only)
- Download the card (if it is greyed)
Central zone of the "My collection" tab shows all the cards in your collection. In colors the cards downloaded,
in grey the cards to be downloaded.
'Card display' allows you to display your collection by card (small size), icon list, name list or big cards.
'All cards' allows you to filter the display of your cards
- all cards' displays your trailers + full shows
- 'my collection' displays only the full shows you have (downloaded or not)
- 'Trailers only' displays only the free shows
- 'Enabled cards' displays only the cards (trailers and full shows) that you have activated by checking the activate box in "my collection" tab
- 'Disabled cards' displays only the cards (trailers and full shows) that you have not activated or deactivated by unchecking the activate box in "my collection" tab
- 'Downloaded cards' displays only the cards (trailers and full shows) that have been downloaded (either automatically if the corresponding boxes are checked in the advanced settings tab or manually from your collection tab)
- 'Not downloaded' displays only the cards (trailers and full shows) that have not been downloaded (you can request the download from your collection tab)
- 'Favorites' only displays the cards you have selected as favorite by clicking the little heart that appears near each card in the list.
'Order by card num.'
Allows you to sort the cards in your collection by card number, name or release date.
NB: Click once on the type of sort you want and Guys will be sorted in rising order (a->z; 1->1000; jan->dec), click again, it is sorted in descending order(z->a; 1000->1; dec->jan).
Advanced settings
you can unroll the advanced settings of this tab to get more options:
- 'Check / Uncheck all': allows you to activate or deactivate all the cards in 1 click
- 'no favorite' allows you to uncheck the favorite Guys selected by clicking the little heart near each card.
NB: favorites are cards that are randomly played more often than the not favorite ones.
- 'save playlist' : a playlist can be made of a list of cards you choose to activate. Playlists are saved in application data/vghd/data/playlist and you can load the lists you save by simply clicking the 'load playlist' button.

- Play no nudity shows:
Allow guys to appear fully dressed.
- Allow Topless shows:
Allow guys to appear topless on your desktop
- Allow Full Nudity shows:
Allow guys to appear fully nude on your desktop.
- Allow Explicit Behaviour
Allow sexually explicit conducts
- Allow Interactivity:
Allow guys to ask you spontaneously about what you want through dialog bubbles. Please note that disabling this option don't prevent you from interacting with guys by clicking on them. This option is grayed-out and not available in the current version.
- Voices
Check this box if you want to hear the guys when they speak to you
- Music
Check this box if you want music to be played during stripteases. This option is grayed and not available in the current version.
Presets Selection
Choose one of the four classic settings for VirtuaGuy.
- Classic (recommended) makes the Guys appear in small mode on your screen
and let you click on them to see them full mode.
- Light makes gliding over your applications with a lot of transparency.
- Shades makes the guys appear in shadows.
- Maximal makes the Guys appear in maximum size for both modes.
Confirm
Confirms all the changes made.
Cancel
Discard all the changes made.
- The Options box / Screensaver

There you can activate VirtuaGuy as a screensaver.
- In the 'selection' you choose t he background
- The settings allow you to choose the size of the Guy and the light effects
- Unroll the 'advanced settings':
1. 'Allow no nudity shows':
Allow Guys to appear fully dressed.
2. 'Allow Topless shows':
Allow Guys to appear topless on your desktop.
3. 'Allow Full Nudity shows':
Allow Guys to appear fully nude on your desktop.
4. 'Allow Explicit Behaviour':
All Guys to have sexually connoted gesture.
5. Shadow Mode:
Check this box if you want the Guys to appear as a shadow on your screen (click in the box on the right to select the color of the shadow).
6. Always on Top:
Check this box if you want the Guys to appear always on top of all other windows (recommended)
7. Music:
Check this box if you want music to be played during stripteases.
- What's in the menu that appears when you right click on Guys?
When you right click on a Guy while she's performing, a menu appears:
For the trailers:
- CARD # - Name
- Buy her: Bring you on the website where you can buy the Guy.
For the full shows:
- Make her my favorite for today: The favorite of the day will show up more often that any other Guy that day.
- Strip now launches one animation of the Guy where she unveils.
- Display her Webpage: As it says
- Send her to my friends: brings you to the site's page where you can email virtuaGuy to your friends
- Full mode: Check or uncheck this to switch between small and full modes. You can also left click on the Guy to do that.
- Switch to next Guy: As it says
- Deactivate this show: uncheck the model in your collection tab
- Which operating systems are supported?
VirtuaGuy® runs on Microsoft® Windows® NT, 2000, XP and Vista.
It also works perfectly on Mac® with Parallels Desktop® or other similar applications.
- What's the Software update?
VirtuaGuy checks for updates on our servers once a day .
If a new version of VirtuaGuy is available, you'll be prompted to install it.
- Is VirtuaGuy safe for kids?
Although it's intended for adults, the free version contains no nudity at all. If you buy a Guy or become a member, you can disable all nudity in the Options/settings and/or protect the launch of a show with a password in the advanced settings of the software options.
- How much space does VirtuaGuy use?
VirtuaGuy requires about 20Mb.
Every Guy’s free trailer takes an extra 1 to 3Mb.
Any Guy’s full show takes from 200 to 350Mb.
- Can I backup the Guys?
Yes. Simply go to c:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USERNAME\Application Data\vghd\ (VISTA USERS: go to c:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\vghd\models ) where you'll find a folder for each Guy in a folder named "Models" + all needed data in a folder named "Data".
You can freely backup any folder and delete them from there if you want to make space on your hard drive.
Avoid to remove the folders from the Guy that is scheduled for the coming day as the program will attempt to download it again if you remove it.
To restore any Guy from a backup, simply copy back her folder at the same place.
- Can I install VirtuaGuy on more than one PC?
Yes. We grand you a licence for two PCs.
Once you installed the software on one PC and created your account, install the software on the second PC and register using the same login and password.
If it happens that you need to install again, make sure you uninstall one licence first (backup your collection of Guys first, uninstall would remove them from your disk).
If you encounter a message 'too many installations' please contact the customer service from the help section.
- Can I transfer Guys from one PC to another?
If you're running VirtuaGuy on two PCs (let's say at home and at the office), you can copy any Guy's folder from one PC to the other to save download time.
Guys can't be transfered to/from a PC running a version of VirtuaGuy registered by someone else.
- I have a bug to report, what should I do?
Please select "report a bug" in our forum or through the appropriate form in the Customer Service.
Make sure to give us as many details as you can and include your detailed configuration (Browser, Version of Windows, PC etc).
- I'm a former member, does VirtuaGuy HD works with the Guys of VirtuaGuy and VirtuaGuy2?
No. This is a completely new software displaying only Hi Definition, it won't play the old stuff.
But you can have VirtuaGuy 2 and VirtuaGuy HD running at the same time on you PC.
The two softwares communicate to ensure everything goes smoothly.
- Do you offer any tools for developers?
We're not offering any tools as for now but feel free to contact us if you have any suggestions.
- What does HD stands for?
HD stands for High Definition. VirtuaGuy started back in 1998 with Guys so tiny that you would not even notice them on a today's screen. It has evolved over the years to come to HD. Here the Guys are so big and the image is so crisp that you can see every detail.
- Is VirtuaGuy running on WebTV?
No, sorry, VirtuaGuy won't run on WebTV.
- Is VirtuaGuy running on Mac?
There is no Mac version, but VirtuaGuy works perfectly fine with applications like Parallels Desktop for Mac which enables you to run Windows, Linux, and more side-by-side with Mac OS X on any Intel-powered Mac, without rebooting.

- My drive is filling up. How to move all Guys to another drive?
Copy the VGHD data directories (i.e. the entire VGHD folder with the sub folders) from where you have it to the other drive which would then be X:\VGHD (where X is your other drive)
Uninstall VGHD and then reinstall and watch for the option to change the data directory, its not a prompt, just a section on the setup screen.
NB: The uninstall will remove your saved (and encrypted) password, so you either need to have remembered what your VGHD account password was or to check on your password at the following BEFORE you uninstall:

When you browse to select the drive X, it will display the new destination as X:\\. Do not worry about the second slash. You should then be right to re-update your rights and the models should not be redownloaded.
- Problems with two Operating Systems installed
If you have two operating systems installed on your PC, make sure you locate VirtuaGuy's data directory on the partition where you have installed the Operating System you use the most.
On the other partition you'll see only the trailers.
Means if you have 1. XP and 2. Vista and you install VirtuaGuy on vista, you'll be able to see the full shows and trailers on vista and on XP only the trailers.
- Protect by password
You can choose to protect VirtuaGuyHD with a password.
To do so : Check the box "Protect by password "striptease" in the Options / Advanced settings tab.
You'll be requested this password each time you wish to activate the software.

- How often will I be charged for your services?

- How do I buy Guys individually?
You first need to credit your account with money then go to the Guy's profile and click on Buy Her Now.
You can also use Free Tickets if you have any.
- How much are the Guys?
Price differs from one Guy to another, revolving around $2.
There is a $1 Special Offer for on e different Guy every day, that appear on the site home page
All Guys can also be bought with Free Tickets.
- How do I get Free Tickets?
Free Tickets are obtained when you spend money with us or by sending VirtuaGuy to your friends. You’ll be given the option to use them when buying a Guy.
- How do I download a Guy after I bought her individually?
After you bought a Guy on the website, please go to the "Advanced settings" tab of the software Option box and click on "Check for Updates" button in the lower left corner.
If the box "Automatically download full shows" is checked in the Download Tab (that's the default setting), then the Guy you just bought will start downloading immediately.
Otherwise she will be available for you to download manually in the "My Collection" tab (using the "Download Now" button ).
If you don't go in the "Download" tab of the Option box and click on "Check for Updates" button, she will be added to your collection on the next automatic update which happens once a day.
- Is it safe to buy with my Credit Card?
We rely on third party processors such as Paycom, ccBill or CommerceGate to charge you. This is the safest and most convenient way to purchase access to on-line venues. - What is my bank statement going to show?

Unfortunately, PayPal has decided not to do business with adult businesses so we are unable to offer memberships through their service.
- How do I cancel my account?
If you want to cancel you account, go to your profile and click on "Cancel my membership" and follow the instructions.
- What if I cancel my account in between two rebills?
If you cancel your account before a rebill, we will not charge your account anymore and your membership will expire at the end of the period paid. For example, if you signed up on January 15th and cancelled on January 30th, your membership will expire on February 14th.
The full shows you collected during your membership will stay yours.
- I'm still having a problem, who can I contact?

- I don't have a credit card, any other way to pay?

Go to the model's page and select "Pay by SMS / Phone" or on the "Buy Guys" page, select "Pay by SMS".
This option is available only to buy ONE ticket. Please be aware that the price can differ depending on your country operators.
- Having problems with a payment option?
We rely on several billing processors, if one refuses you, please try with another .
If "Pay by credit card" or "Pay by check" payment options do not work for you, please try "Other ways to pay" option.

- How to I change my password/email address/profile information?
Go to "My Profile". There you can edit all your profile information by clicking on the "Edit" buttons.
Your Password is now choosen by the system during the installation process and can't be changed.
- How do I upload my profile's picture?
Below your picture in your profile, click on the "Browse" button and select the picture you'd like on your PC.
- I can't upload my profile pic. What's wrong?
Check that your image is a JPEG (.jpg), GIF (.gif), BITMAP (.bmp) or PNG (.png) file.
- Can I change my username?
Unfortunately no, you can't change your username.
- What kind of behaviour can get my account suspended?
Scaring or making uncomfortable any other members of VirtuaGuy, making the jobs of the people who work on this site harder then needed be, making racist or sexist remarks, attempting to hack the site or run scripts on the site, using fraudulent credit card when joining, violating our terms of service are among the most common behaviours that will get you suspended right away.
- Offensive content
Please respect the spirit and tone of our community.
We do not censor user submitted content based on our personal biases or interest, but we do pull down user submitted content that is deemed as offensive by a significant sample of our members, in terms of images, language or theme.
Breaking our rules which includes failing to respect the spirit and tone of the community or posting something that demands a disproportionate amount of time and moderation by our team may result in your account being suspended or, in extreme cases, banned.
